Reindeer Yoga & Sauna Yoga on the Ultimate Women’s Wellness Retreat

Escape to Finnish Lapland for International Women’s Day 2026

If you’ve been looking for the perfect retreat to relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature, this brand-new Women’s Wellness Retreat could be just what you need. Set in the tranquil beauty of Finnish Lapland, this 7-day escape offers a unique blend of yoga, mindfulness, and Arctic adventure, all in one of the most serene and breathtaking locations in the world.

Located in Ruka, Finnish Lapland, the retreat is far enough from light pollution that guests get a front-row seat to the Northern Lights, making it the perfect location to escape from everyday life and soak in nature’s beauty. This retreat also offers the chance to explore the stunning Arctic landscapes. Scroll down to learn more!

Yoga and Mindfulness with Hege Norman-Stormbringer

A key feature of the retreat is the daily yoga and mindfulness sessions led by the renowned Hege Norman-Stormbringer, a yoga teacher based in Lillehammer, Norway. With over 700 hours of yoga training, Hege brings a holistic and joyful approach to each session, making sure that both beginners and seasoned yogis feel at ease.

The retreat offers two daily sessions that blend relaxation and wellness practices tailored to meet the needs of the group. In addition to traditional yoga, guests can enjoy the unique Reindeer Yoga—a practice held among reindeer at a local farm. Yes, you’ll be stretching and meditating while these gentle creatures roam nearby!

For those seeking a different experience, there’s also Sauna Yoga, a calming practice done in the warmth of a traditional Finnish sauna. The sauna is a perfect place to unwind and detox, helping to release tension and clear the mind.

Embrace the Arctic with Unique Activities

While wellness and relaxation are at the heart of this retreat, the adventure of the Arctic landscape is just as important. Each day brings something new, from thrilling husky safaris to snowmobile excursions and snowshoeing through the picturesque Oulanka National Park. You’ll glide over frozen rivers and snow-covered landscapes, taking in the peace and beauty of the wilderness.

One of the highlights of the retreat is river floating, an experience that may sound unusual but is incredibly calming. Floating in the icy Arctic waters while being surrounded by snow-covered forests offers a sense of stillness that can’t be found anywhere else.

No retreat would be complete without an introduction to local cuisine, and this one includes a special Lappish Wild Food Dinner. The chefs at the House of Northern Senses will serve up dishes that highlight local ingredients, including reindeer, fish, and seasonal berries. It’s a chance to taste the flavours of the Arctic while nourishing both body and soul.

What’s Included? Just About Everything!

With a maximum group size of 12 participants, the retreat ensures a personalised experience, where you’ll receive attention and guidance from both the yoga instructor and the tour leader.
